As if they can climb inside your mind and explain some of your thoughts in ways you didn’t know needed further explaining? Most of us have had those moments at one time or another. TV shows and movies like to immortalize these moments— like the moment that Anne with an “e” meets Diana, and knows from the first that they are meant to be “kindred spirits.” Or the way Joe feels that he’s seen Patricia before in the classic, “Joe Vs. the Volcano.”

I felt this way when I first saw the design abilities of Jennifer Olmstead, leading creative and designer at Deleted Space Creative. Jenn has an uncanny ability to step inside someone’s head, and come out with a visual description of them. Her design work is outstanding. She loves typography. She’s witty and hilarious. And her fashion sense? Impecable. She designed my first website, this blog, and we are currently in the middle of a redesign/rebrand (which I’m SO FREAKING EXCITED ABOUT!!!)

But anyway … Jennifer recently teamed up with another design genius, Jeff Shipley to produce a set of website templates for photographers and small business. Introducing: Tonic Site Shop!! Tonic sites are fully customizable, and perfect for the young creative who wants a unique, well-designed website without spending thousands of dollars on a custom site! Brilliance!!!!

Even if you already have a good design, I found that even spend a few minutes browsing these templates made me feel more creative and inspired. This really is a wonderful resource for any small business owner or creative out there!! Grateful to be a part of it!

A random email from someone at the BBC. A random lady living in Georgetown. A random sketch that needed photographed. The owner stopped by my house so I could shoot it super quick before she flew out to England that night. She unwrapped the sketch and told me what it was. Just so happens this “sketch” is a Degas.

And it was in my kitchen.
